Ms. Ungerman is licensed to practice in all California courts, both trial and appellate levels, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District, and the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2002, after almost 15 years on the defense side, she began representing employees who had been discriminated against by their employer.  In 2004, after a month-long jury trial in Placer County, California, she obtained a $4.8 million dollar jury verdict against a Fortune 500 company that became a $6.1 million dollar judgment on behalf of a client who had been discriminated against because she was pregnant and taking pregnancy leave.  In 2005, she opened her own practice to provide victims of illegal workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour violations the assistance of counsel to stand up for themselves and fight back.  Since that time, she has achieved many successful settlements for her clients, both in and out of court.

Ms. Ungerman is active in the California Employment Lawyers Association, an organization consisting primarily of attorneys who represent employees and a member of the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association and Sacramento County Bar Association.  She is a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the California State and Sacramento County Bar.  She regularly contributes to WWW.AVVO.Com on employment and labor matters.  She is BV rated by her peers through Martindale-Hubbell, a nationally rating service.  A BV Rating  is an indication of an exemplary reputation and well-established practice. A typical lawyer is in mid-career, with a significant client base and high professional standing.

BV Rating - " The BV certification mark is an excellent rating for a lawyer with more experience. This is the maximum rating a lawyer can receive who has been admitted to the bar from 5-9 years."
